At road.cc, every product is thoroughly tested, as long as you need to understand its working conditions correctly. Our reviewers are experienced cyclists and we believe they are objective. Although we strive to ensure that the opinions expressed are supported by facts, the comments are essentially an informed opinion, not a final ruling. We will not deliberately try to destroy anything (except locks), but we do try to find any weaknesses in the design. The total score is not just the average of the other scores: it reflects the function and value of the product-the value depends on how the product compares with items of similar specifications, quality, and price.

Good grades are more common than bad, because fortunately good products are more common than bad.

The Look Keo Classic 3 Plus pedal has a wide, stable platform, a good tension adjustment range and pricing, and stands out from the competition. But even out of the box, the bearings showed some problems-it was worth solving the almost complete lack of grease in the shaft from the beginning, because it is not easy to replace the bearings when they are worn.

The main difference between these and the standard Classic 3s (£39.99) is the extra stainless steel plate on the fuselage, which Look claims increases stiffness and power transmission. Otherwise, they are actually the same, which means you will get a chrome spindle and a composite plastic body with a 400 mm square platform. The Q factor is 53 mm, the same as all Look road pedals.

The stack height is 17.8 mm (11.5 mm for the pedals only), and our weight is 278 grams-a little heavier than the claimed 260 grams.

The pedal comes with a set of Keo Grip cleats, which contains a layer of TPU to reduce slippage. It works well. The splint is a gray version with a 4.5° release angle, 0° (black) and 9° (red) are also available separately.

Before riding, I noticed some gaps in the axles-although small, it does not bode well for the brand new pedals. However, they do rotate very smoothly on the bearings, which is more promising... although they may rotate a bit too freely, which means there may be a lack of grease around the components. Open them and find that the grease on any one of them is almost zero, leaving the lubricating oil in the bearing to prevent water or dust from entering.

Throughout the test, the play continued to increase, so that shaking the pedal would produce a slight click. Look does not sell replacement bearings, but they are standard sizes (6701-2RS and HK0810) and can be bought elsewhere-quality kits and some grease will do wonders during service hours. However, this is not a simple task, because you need a blind bearing puller to take out the needle rollers and remove an easily damaged plastic collar to slide the cassette bearing down.

The release pressure range from 8Nm to 12Nm is very large and can be easily adjusted by a small hexagonal bolt near the back of the pedal body. I found that the whole series is available, and the lowest setting still provides a safe platform-although I am by no means a top sprinter, although they are relatively easy to get rid of, they don't want to accidentally release them at any time. At the same time, the setting of 12Nm gives people a very safe feeling.

Weight balance seems very suitable for easy participation. They are slightly tilted back rather than completely vertical, which makes it very easy and instinctive to grasp the end of the cleats.

> 10 best clipless pedals-as low as £30

It costs 59 pounds, which is 14 pounds more than the "standard" Keo Classic 3 pedal (almost the same weight, weighing 276 grams) and 20 pounds less than the Keo 2 Max (260 grams). Shimano's similar R550 is 76.99 pounds and weighs 309 grams, while Keo-compatible pedals (such as Bontrager Elite) are more expensive, still at 84.99 pounds, only a small amount of weight reduction, at 252 grams.

Although these spin smoothly and proved to be very easy to use, the seemingly cheap bearings and lack of protective grease are disappointing—especially when replacing the bearings requires the use of professional tools. Even so, the performance of the wide platform and adjustable mechanism is good, and the price is reasonable; despite the bearing problems, they are still good value pedals.

Smooth and easy to clamp, wide adjustment range, but the bearing may be a weak point

Tell us the purpose of the product and the target audience. What is the manufacturer's comment on this? How does this compare to your own feelings?

Look said: "What is the difference between KEO CLASSIC 3 and KEO CLASSIC 3 PLUS? The material used in the contact area. An extra point, stainless steel instead of composite material, optimizes the stiffness of the pedals to transfer power from you to your bike. As for the rest, we insist on an effective method: fast clamping in/out and easy tension adjustment."

Platform material-stainless steel

Platform area-400 square millimeters

Total stack height (pedal splint)-17.8 mm (11.5 6.3 mm)

Counterweight to cleats-350 grams

Our new car played a small number of games, and the axles clicked within a few hundred kilometers.

Tell us how the product performs as a whole when used for its design purpose

The pedal rotates smoothly, but it does feel that there is insufficient lubrication. They are sufficiently adjustable to fit most riders, and Look Grip cleats have significantly lower slip resistance on and under the bike than some other Keo-compatible cleats.

Tell us which aspects of this product you particularly like

The angle at which the pedals fall when trying to engage makes them easy to pinch in.

Tell us what aspects of the product you particularly dislike

The slight play of new is worrying, and ours also made a clicking sound. They can rotate freely and additional grease can be added, but you cannot rebuild them or easily replace the bearings.

How does the price compare to similar products on the market (including products tested recently on road.cc)?

The standard non-Plus Keo Classic 3 models cost £39.99, and George loves them. Shimano is priced at £69.99 and has a PD-R550, which has a similar construction but is slightly heavier.

Although their direct function is very good and the value is good, the bearings are not very good, and there is almost no grease around them to prevent water or dust from entering. This, and the slight embarrassment during long-term maintenance, made them score higher.

That's because helmet fanatics like Li Anqi have spent forty years deliberately and consciously lying about the risks of riding a bicycle,...

Is it because group riding is prohibited?

Or they measure size by population, in which case Montenegro is smaller.

4.5 stars, for aluminum kits? ! Do you know this is the 21st century?

But you are the victim of the blame. How many locks should I carry with me when using a bicycle? If we want people to use bicycles instead of cars...

Sorry for not discovering this earlier. Our overall feeling is that when it comes to health issues/global epidemics, we are only right...

Or cheap Chinese... do you mean the one that Muc Off is using? ...

but! them! Do! no! Pay! STAMP!-DUTY!!!... These car owners who put (almost) real estate (cars) there...

If you still need rim tape, how can they prepare it for marketing as a tubeless tube? What a cheap gimmick.

Reliable and consistent data and useful replaceable pedal bodies for different road and off-road cleats

Multifunctional, well-made and easy-to-maintain pedals, suitable for flat shoes and clip-on shoes

It has unquestionable comfort and grip under all conditions, but whether the increased visibility is worth the extra is debatable

Very light and very effective, especially in the mud, but hard shoes must be worn
